The SUPERMAL® enamel is used for decorative and protective painting of wood, wood materials, plasters, as well as steel and cast iron elements used indoors and outdoors, such as windows, doors, furniture, fences, cladding, etc. It is recommended for use in residences, rooms intended for permanent patient stay in healthcare buildings, permanent residence areas for children and youth in educational buildings, as well as in food storage areas (without direct contact with food).
Surface preparation
The surface must be dry, clean from rust, dust, grease, and other contaminants. Resinous and greasy areas should be cleaned with extraction gasoline. For new wooden and wood-based surfaces, the use of Śnieżka Wood Primer is recommended. Wooden surfaces exposed to atmospheric conditions should be pre-treated with transparent water repellent VIDARON before applying the primer. New metal surfaces should be primed with fast-drying anti-corrosive paint Śnieżka Urekor S. Damaged enamels with poor adhesion must be removed, cleaned from rust, dirt, and other contaminants. If necessary, fill any gaps and prime exposed surfaces. Well-maintained old surfaces should be sanded with fine sandpaper and cleaned from dust.
Product preparation
Stir the enamel well and, if necessary, dilute it with solvent for alkyd and oil paints or paint emulsion to the desired viscosity.
Painting
Apply at substrate and ambient temperature above +10°C and air humidity below 80%, using a flat brush with soft bristles, sponge roller (flock), or by spraying. Apply the next coat after about 24 hours (low temperature and high humidity extend drying time). Clean tools after painting with alkyd thinner, universal thinner, or airbrush thinner.
