Description & Specifications

Sigmadur 550 polyurethane paint is a topcoat for protecting boats, yachts and canoes with laminate surfaces. It has a glossy finish and retains its colour and gloss, while offering resistance to weathering, abrasion, moisture, salt, impact, chemicals and petroleum products. It is a solvent-based paint and requires ventilation during and after application.

Before application, the surface must be roughened and thoroughly degreased with Solid Cleaner 05 to improve adhesion. Metal surfaces require Sigmacover 280 primer. Stir the base thoroughly before adding the hardener at a volume ratio of 88:12. Use the mixture within 5 hours at 20 °C.
