Originating from South Africa, it mainly grows in rocky areas with high temperatures and sunny conditions. It is characterized by fleshy, thick green spoon-shaped leaves with small red edges, while its flowers are shaped like small stars in white or pink/white shades.
The Hobbit variety can bloom during the autumn - winter period, and the plant's height will not exceed 90 centimeters.

The Crassula Ovata "Hobbit" is easy to care for, as it does not have high requirements. It loves light, which contributes to its growth and the maintenance of the bright green color of its leaves. The more sunlight it receives, the more intense the red edges on the leaves become. It is recommended to place it in bright spots either indoors or in sunny areas of the garden or balcony.
Watering the plant requires attention: during the summer, water 1-2 times a week, provided the substrate has dried well, while in the other months watering is done approximately every 15 days. Good drainage is essential to avoid root rot.
It is recommended to use special soil for cacti and succulents, as well as fertilization during the active growing season. Pruning in spring is important to maintain a better shape and a stronger main stem.
