Historical information and plant morphology:

Ginkgo Biloba is one of the oldest trees on Earth, known as a "living fossil," with its first species appearing more than 270 million years ago. The plant mainly grows in China, Japan, and South Korea, and has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. The leaves of the tree are considered valuable for brain health and blood circulation.

Plant characteristics:

  • Height: can reach up to 35 meters
  • Distinctive leaves: bilobed
  • Resilient trunk

Uses and research:

The use of Ginkgo Biloba leaves in medicine first appeared in China around 2800 BC. Clinical data have shown that Ginkgo Biloba is effective in increasing blood flow to the extremities and brain, as well as reducing tinnitus and enhancing memory and cognitive function.

Instructions for use:

To prepare an infusion, add 1 tablespoon of Ginkgo Biloba leaves to a cup of boiling water. Cover and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain before use and enjoy warm.

Storage:

In a dark and cool place (5°C – 15°C).
