The Giacomini R147NY004 differential pressure valve is designed for use in heating and cooling hydronic systems, such as radiator installations, fan coil units, or radiant systems. In these setups, all circuits can close simultaneously, which may lead to increased upstream pressure of the pump. Without a differential pressure valve, this overpressure can cause noise in the system and even damage to the pump.
The R147NY004 valve maintains a stable pressure in the system regardless of flow changes, automatically releasing excess pressure between the supply and return pipes. This ensures quiet and safe system operation, extending the lifespan of the pump and other components.
The device features a scale from 1 to 6 meters of water column, allowing precise adjustment of the desired setting simply by turning the handle. During operation, the valve can release flows up to 1000 l/h, while for higher flows, installing multiple valves in parallel is recommended.
The installation can be performed horizontally or vertically, following the flow direction marked on the valve body. It is always installed between the supply and return pipes, immediately after the pump.
Constructed from durable CW617N brass, with a stainless steel spring and EPDM seals, it guarantees resistance to pressure, high temperatures, and corrosion.
