Kombucha is a colony of living symbiotic cultures of yeasts and beneficial bacteria, which develops in tea extract and transforms sugar into organic acids and carbon dioxide through natural fermentation. It also produces a variety of other compounds that detoxify and nourish the human body, such as gluconic, lactic, and folic acid, as well as probiotics (beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus and S. Boulardii).
