The Eko Guitars Fire 801 Musa Grey Flamed is a modern double-cutaway solid-body electric guitar, designed for technical versatility and excellent ergonomics. Its body is made of solid Paulownia wood and topped with a flamed maple cap, offering exceptionally low weight and balanced acoustic resonance. The bolt-on neck is made of roasted maple with a comfortable Eko Special profile, paired with a roasted maple fingerboard, a 25.5-inch scale, and 24 frets. The electronics feature a versatile HSS pickup configuration, with a push-pull coil-split function on the bridge humbucker, covering a wide frequency range. The hardware includes a 2-point synchronized tremolo with vintage-style saddles and sealed locking tuners for tuning stability.

Paulownia Body Construction & Flamed Maple Top

The guitar body is based on the modern design of the Musa series and made from carefully selected Paulownia wood. This material stands out for its particularly low weight, helping to reduce player fatigue during extended use, while also offering an open acoustic response and rapid vibration transfer. The top features a Flamed Maple veneer, enhancing clarity and dynamic attack in the high frequencies. The body has sculpted ergonomic contours for comfort on the back and where the forearm rests. The glossy Grey Flamed Gloss finish highlights the maple’s natural grain while also protecting it from mechanical wear.

Roasted Maple Neck & Fingerboard

The neck and fingerboard are made from thermally treated maple (Roasted Maple). The controlled-vacuum roasting process removes residual moisture and stabilizes the wood fibers, making the instrument exceptionally resistant to warping caused by changes in temperature and humidity. It is shaped to the slim, ergonomic Eko Special Shape profile and finished in satin for effortless hand movement. The fingerboard has a 12" (305 mm) radius and a 25.5" (648 mm) scale length, and features 24 Medium Jumbo frets with smoothed edges, ensuring precise intonation and comfortable performance of modern lead techniques across the entire neck.

HSS Electronics, Push-Pull & Support System

The electrical circuit features a versatile HSS configuration with passive Eko Rock pickups, delivering clear single-coil tones in the neck and middle positions and a powerful humbucker output at the bridge for overdrive channels. The Master Tone control incorporates a Push-Pull Coil-Split switch, which isolates one coil of the bridge pickup, converting it into a single coil for classic Strat tones. The hardware includes a modern two-point 2-Point Tremolo system for smooth arm travel and sealed Locking Tuners, which prevent tuning slippage and speed up string changes.
