This book is addressed to students in the final grades of Primary School, aiming to help them prepare adequately and successfully respond to any kind of skill assessments related to the Language subject. To this end, the book includes:

• All Topics for the Examination for Admission to Model Junior High Schools for the years 2020-2025 (both official and sample topics). These exam topics include two texts, based on which there are multiple-choice questions-exercises concerning reading comprehension as well as grammatical, syntactic and vocabulary issues.

• The Topics for the Examination for Admission to Public Onassis Junior High Schools for 2025. These topics include one text, based on which, similar to the Model Schools’ exams, multiple-choice questions-exercises are set, concerning reading comprehension and grammatical, syntactic and vocabulary issues.

• The Topics of the Panhellenic Student Competition of Greek Language “Kleitarhos and Berenice” for the years 2019-2025. This is a diagnostic competition organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), which aims at the development of the Greek language and critical literacy. Participation in the competition is optional and is intended for 5th and 6th grade students of Primary School. It is implemented in two strands: on the one hand, “Kleitarhos” is mainly for students whose mother (or first) language is Greek, while “Berenice” is for students who are learning Greek as a second/foreign language or are eligible for differentiated assessment – teachers, knowing their students’ linguistic profile, recommend participation in either “Kleitarhos” or “Berenice.” Children compete in a variety of activities relating to reading comprehension, vocabulary, morphosyntactic structures, and the production of written discourse, within a text-centered approach and functional grammar.
