Description

Pedemontis directly cultivates 13 hectares of vineyards located in the forests of Roero, an area with ancient winemaking tradition and exceptional biodiversity. The typical sandy soil produces wines with particular elegance and finesse, rich in aromas. Local and traditional varieties are cultivated: Barbera and Nebbiolo for the reds, Arneis and Favorita for the whites.

The Barbera vineyard, an old variety from Piedmont cultivated in the area since the 1600s, is located in the Alba region. The area is 0.55 hectares, at an altitude of 270 m. Vineyard age is 9 years. Harvesting takes place at the end of September, with the fruit picked by hand. After harvesting, extraction is performed with low pressure and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts, with alcoholic fermentation lasting 8 weeks under controlled temperatures.
