The ASI 662 offers very high resolution, suitable for photographing the Moon and planets. It is a non-cooled camera, ideal for EAA (Electronically Assisted Astronomy) astrophotography and Deep Sky imaging. This CMOS camera features a modern 1/2.8" sensor with 1920*1080 pixels.

The IMX662 sensor, with back-illuminated technology, provides:

  • Extremely smooth image without amp glow
  • High resolution with 2.9µm pixels
  • High frame rate up to 108 fps (RAW8 format)

The ZWO ASI 662 is mainly used for:

  • Detailed planetary imaging
  • Moon surface photography
  • Solar imaging (with appropriate filter)
  • Images of small and bright nebulae
  • Photography of globular clusters

Powerful exposure times up to 2000 seconds and infrared imaging capabilities are also available. The built-in transparent glass filter prevents dust from entering the sensor. With the use of suitable filters, control over the light reaching the sensor is provided.
