Specifications

The Explore Scientific telescope accessory is a waterproof eyepiece with a 24 mm focal length and an 82° apparent field of view. Its optical design combines low-dispersion and high-refractive-index glass with multi-layer coatings to deliver high contrast, resolution and a flat field.

The generous eye relief and wide apparent field of view support comfortable viewing, including the use of averted vision to study faint details. The fold-down rubber eyecup adjusts to the desired height. The body is purged with purified argon and sealed to protect the internal optics from fogging and contaminants. The inner barrel surfaces and lens edges are blackened to reduce internal reflections and light scatter.
