The vise is made from specialized impact-resistant cast iron (SG grade 500/7 gray cast iron). The process graphite is derived from gray cast iron with the addition of manganese, magnesium, and alloys. The SG grade 500/7 refers to a tensile strength of 500 N/mm² and a tensile elongation of 7%.

The cast iron graphite vise is twice as durable compared to a regular cast iron vise, as it has higher hardness, greater durability, less deformation (greater elongation before breaking), more stable clamping (better compressive strength), and twice the lifespan.
