This natural salt was formed 200 million years ago through the evaporation of the Primary Sea and is preserved, protected from modern pollution, at a depth of 400-750m below the earth’s surface. The salt is extracted using traditional mining methods and then gently ground in special mills, preserving its natural, authentic composition.
