The Bohrcraft Type N long cylindrical drill bit is suitable for drilling metals, non-ferrous materials such as copper and brass, and plastics. It is made of HSS-G, heat-treated and ground, with right-hand cutting and geometry in accordance with DIN 1869. Additional grinding of the bearing surface and thinning of the chisel edge make cutting easier and reduce the drilling force required.

It is used with drilling machines and stationary equipment. Cooling is recommended during drilling, and the cutting force should be adjusted to the stability of the drill bit.
