The Canon imageFORMULA DR-F120 scanner combines a flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder for scanning books, magazines, passports and delicate materials, as well as mixed batches of documents. The feeder holds 50 sheets and supports duplex scanning at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute, while the scanner can handle up to 800 documents per day. The flatbed accepts documents up to Legal size.

CaptureOnTouch 3 software includes a fully automatic mode, while three programmable buttons let you perform frequent tasks with a single touch. Image processing features include automatic size and colour detection, deskewing, blank-page skipping, text enhancement and shadow removal. Scans can be saved as editable PDFs and in PDF, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, PNG and PowerPoint formats, or sent to a computer, printer, email or cloud services. The feed rollers are user-replaceable, and power consumption during operation is 20 W.
