How to choose the right size

Don’t measure just the seat! To properly cover the sofa including the armrests, calculate the “route” the fabric will take:

• Length (Side to side): Measure from the point where you want the throw to start on one side, go over the first armrest, across the seat, and down over the other armrest.
  • Tip: Add +20cm so you can tuck it into the joints to keep it from moving.
• Width (Back to front): Measure from the back of the sofa, over the cushion, down to the feet of the sofa.

These throws usually have small silicone dots or a rough texture (backing) on the back. They are the perfect solution for leather sofas or sofas with very smooth fabrics.

Chenille

Chenille is perhaps the most classic and beloved choice for throws, thanks to its distinctive, exceptionally fluffy yarn! If you touch it, you will feel incredible softness and warmth. It is the ideal choice if you are looking for a heavy and "full" fabric, as its rich volume helps it "embrace" and drape perfectly on your sofa, staying in place without slipping easily.

Weaving Weight, internationally known as GSM (Grams per Square Meter), is the most objective indicator of the quality, thickness, and durability of a throw.

While the composition (e.g., 100% Cotton) tells us what the throw is made of, the GSM tells us how "rich" it is.

Indicative Values & Categorization

Light: 150 - 250 GSM

Medium: 250 - 400 GSM

Heavy: 400 - 600 GSM

Very Heavy: > 600 GSM
