Milvaflowers' Senecio Rowleyanus has evergreen foliage and grows quickly, reaching a final length of up to 1 m. It prefers a bright spot without direct sunlight, but can also grow in partial shade or in moderate indoor light. It needs little watering, and the soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings.

It cannot tolerate low temperatures and thrives in a range of 18–27 °C, with temperatures not falling below 13–15 °C. Cactus soil or indoor potting soil is suitable for planting, as its roots need good aeration. It blooms from July to September.
