Description

Description

The model from the company Samsung, has a screen size of 55". The minimum recommended viewing distance for this size is 2.1m and the maximum is 3.5m. This size is recommended for placement in large living rooms, or projection spaces.

The resolution of the TV is 4K Ultra HD. TVs with 4K Ultra HD resolution are aimed at consumers looking for higher image quality and viewing experience compared to TVs with lower resolutions, such as Full HD or HD Ready. The 4K Ultra HD resolution, which amounts to 3840 x 2160 pixels, offers very high image quality, focusing on detail. These TVs are suitable for watching movies, sports events, gaming, and other entertainment activities that require quality image.
Additionally, these TVs are suitable for use with computers and for modern games with high demands on resolution. They are usually aimed at consumers who want the best possible viewing experience and are ready to invest in a high-quality TV.

The panel of the TV is Mini LED. The main advantages of the Mini LED panel in televisions are:

1. Higher brightness: Due to the smaller size of the LEDs, more can be placed on the television panel, leading to greater brightness and contrast in images.

2. Better color reproduction: Mini LED technology allows televisions to render more colors and display more vibrant and natural images.

3. Improved local performance: Due to the more precise placement of Mini LEDs, local areas of the television can be illuminated independently, allowing dark scenes to be reproduced with greater contrast and detail.

4. Smaller size and thinner design: Mini LED technology allows television manufacturers to create thinner and smaller devices without compromising image quality. This model belongs to the broader family of Smart TVs. Smart TVs represent the evolution in television technology, as they incorporate Internet functions, allowing browsing of websites and the use of online applications (e.g., Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, etc.). They are, therefore, an example of technological convergence between computers and televisions. The latest Smart TVs have the capability of full Internet browsing, while older ones support access only to popular websites (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) through appropriate applications.

Featuring another important characteristic, that of VRR, this model will enhance the Gaming experience. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology is used in televisions to improve the user's experience during game playback. With VRR technology, the television can adjust its refresh rate to the frame rate generated by the source, such as a gaming console, which improves image smoothness and reduces screen tearing during fast movements in games.
VRR technology helps players react accurately to the game environment and improves their performance. Additionally, VRR technology allows televisions to work better with sources that have different refresh rates, meaning televisions can work better with a wide variety of games and gaming devices.

The refresh rate is the number of frames per second that a TV can display and is expressed in hertz (Hz). Most TVs are 50/60 Hz, while some are 100 or 120 Hz. Higher frame rates offer smoother images (without stuttering or blurring) in fast-paced scenes such as sports or action movies.

Local Dimming

LED TVs use LED backlighting behind the screen. LED TVs with Local Dimming capability can illuminate different areas of the screen with different intensities, achieving better local black performance and contrast compared to regular LEDs.

OLED TVs do not require this technology as the lighting is integrated into each individual pixel and can be completely turned off, providing absolute black and even better contrast.

Channels
Stereo

Channels

Channels refer to the number and type of individual speakers contained in the television and are described by 2 numbers separated by a dot. The first number refers to how many full-range speakers (speakers for the entire frequency range) the television contains, while the second refers to how many subwoofer-type speakers (speakers specialized for bass frequencies). For example, a television with 2.1 speakers has 2 regular speakers and 1 subwoofer.

2. Almost all television programs are stereo (for playback from at least 2 speakers), meaning they are designed to sound different in each of the 2 speakers to give the listener a sense of space. More speakers make this feeling even more realistic, and the presence of a subwoofer gives fuller bass.

Stereo
Most televisions have stereo speakers, meaning they contain 2 speakers for stereo sound (sound with depth).
Power
20 W

Coming from a 2021 QLED model, I was disappointed. At best, it’s mediocre... Very poor viewing angle, so much so that on a sofa the person in the middle will barely get to see the TV’s full potential, and for the people next to them, things are literally dark at the edges. Decent colors, slow response time compared to the old QLED, which was lightning-fast at its best (after the updates it got slower too, but not as much as the mini LED). On the other hand, the price is very good for the size it offers.
