I used it during the winter so I don't know how much it would protect against dark spots. The reason I won't buy it again is because I decided to switch to a mineral sunscreen to avoid chemicals.

I have been buying the 40ml sunscreen for years and this year I decided to go for the larger size for "economy". What a mistake! I bought two packages and both had a faulty pump.
