The Akai MPC Key 37 is a standalone digital music production workstation and 37-key synthesizer designed for music production, composition, sampling, and live performances. It features 37 semi-weighted synth-action keys with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch, offering expressive performance. It includes 16 backlit RGB pads that are pressure- and velocity-sensitive for sampling and beat programming. It is equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen, a quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage, and includes over 10 GB of factory content and 8 built-in plug-in instruments. Standalone MPC Architecture & Processing Power

The Akai MPC Key 37 works as a fully standalone production system, without the need to connect to a computer. It is powered by a quad-core ARM® processor and comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Its architecture lets you sample, process audio, program sequences, and compose multitrack projects directly on the device. For additional storage, it features an SD card slot and a USB Type-A port for connecting external hard drives.

User Interface, Color Touchscreen & Q-Link Controls

Navigation and parameter adjustment are performed via the central 7-inch Multi-Touch color touchscreen. The display provides an immediate graphical view of waveforms, the MIDI sequencer, instruments, and effects. The front panel also features 4 touch-sensitive Q-Link rotary controls that automatically adapt their functions to the selected tab, along with dedicated Pitch and Modulation wheels.

Synth Action Keyboard, RGB Pads & Built-In Content

The instrument is equipped with 37 semi-weighted synth-action keys with Aftertouch support, offering precise dynamic response. The 16 RGB backlit pads retain the classic feel of the MPC range and support Note Repeat, Full Level, 16 Levels, and Chords. It includes 8 built-in plug-in instruments, along with more than 100 processing effects (Reverb, Delay, Compressor, AIR FX) for complete track production and mixing.

CV/Gate Connectivity, USB Audio Interface & Wireless Technologies

In terms of connectivity, the MPC Key 37 offers 8 CV/Gate outputs (via 4 3.5 mm TRS jacks), enabling full control of analog and modular synthesizers. It functions as a bidirectional USB Audio/MIDI Interface 2 In / 2 Out for seamless integration with a computer and DAW software (such as the included MPC Software). It also features Wi-Fi for wireless Ableton Link synchronization, direct access to the Splice library, and software updates, as well as Bluetooth MIDI for connecting external controllers.
