There are several reasons why I went with this particular model (RHX5009THB).
First and foremost, I believe it has a self-cleaning condenser during the program, which means less maintenance. Combined with the dual inverter heat pump, it means you get full performance.
Second, the energy consumption is very low.
Third, the double lint filter, which is very effective and easy to clean.
It has mainly worked on the automatic program with mixed clothes, where with automatic fabric recognition (along with the weight and humidity sensor) it understands what kind of fabrics are in the drum and makes the settings on its own to take care of the clothes inside.
As long as you pair it with a 9 kg washing machine, it is great.
Note that each program accepts a different load weight, which is always calculated when the clothes are dry. Of course, I have never bothered to weigh them; roughly speaking, we can all estimate.
It is also very discreet while operating.
The difference between the RHX5009THB and the other 2 models in the same series (RHX5009***) is purely in the exterior appearance, the price, and the fact that the program options are in English instead of Greek, since it is a rebrand in Greece (there is the corresponding 10 kg model). The warranty is valid, though.
Otherwise, it is exactly the same appliance, at a much better price and with features you find in appliances over 1k from other companies (such as a self-cleaning condenser).
The only thing it lacks is steam, which much more expensive appliances offer, but that is something I personally do not need.
The appliance also comes with the rack for delicate clothes that friction could damage.
Essentially, it is a very complete dryer that also has the option to work with the washing machine (if it is also LG and has smart functions), where, knowing the program the washing machine had, it then adjusts the drying cycle.
It requires minimal upkeep, just emptying the water tank after each cycle (if it is not connected to a drain) and cleaning the internal filter.
I have placed it on the balcony, with a cover of course.
