Description

The access point AP361H by Huawei is useful for creating or extending a wireless network to connect multiple devices. It emits a signal at two frequencies, 2.4 & 5GHz. It offers higher speeds compared to single band and connection of more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most widespread and has a large range. The 5Ghz provides higher speed than the 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g., walls) that reduce its range. This difference and its more limited use help it to have fewer interferences from other networks. Offers up to 1800Mbps in total to devices connected to it. It is Wi-Fi 6 generation, the most modern Wi-Fi standard that offers speeds up to 40% more than Wi-Fi 5. It coordinates communication with connected devices so they consume less battery and works better in environments with many Wi-Fi devices. Ideal for homes with many smart devices.

Technical Specifications

Frequency
Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz)

Frequency

The frequencies at which the Access Point can transmit.
2. Additional frequencies allow for greater speed on more devices.

Dual Band (2.4 & 5GHz)
They transmit signals on two frequencies. They offer higher speeds compared to single and connect more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common and, as it has a large range, is usually congested by neighboring Wi-Fi signals, making communication between devices more difficult. The 5Ghz provides higher speeds than the 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g. walls) that reduce its range. This difference, as well as its more limited use, helps to have fewer interferences from other networks.
Maximum WLAN Speed
1800 Mbps

Maximum WLAN Speed

Theoretical maximum speed with one wirelessly connected device, mainly used for marketing purposes. The speed that each connected device will have depends on the distance, obstacles, how many other devices are connected, how many other networks exist in the same area, etc.
Wi-Fi Generation
Wi‑Fi 6

Wi-Fi Generation

Wi‑Fi 6

The most advanced Wi-Fi standard, offering speeds up to 40% faster than Wi-Fi 5, coordinates communication with connected devices to consume less battery, and works better in environments with many Wi-Fi devices.

Ideal for homes with many smart devices.

Compatible with all previous generations.
IEEE Networking Standards
802.11 b/g/n, 802.11a, 802.11ac, 802.11ax
LAN speed
100 Mbps, 1000 Mbps
Wi-Fi Mesh Network
No

Wi-Fi Mesh Network

Technology that allows the creation of a unified, flexible network where multiple Access Points work together to provide broader and more stable Wi-Fi coverage. Ideal for large homes, offices, and businesses.
Ethernet Backhaul
No

Ethernet Backhaul

The wired connection between access points using an Ethernet cable, so that their communication does not burden the wireless network. It offers greater stability, higher speeds, and better coverage compared to wireless backhaul.
MIMO Technology
2x2

MIMO Technology

Technology that uses multiple antennas for simultaneous sending and receiving of data. This improves the speed and stability of Wi-Fi, especially when there are many connected devices.
