Specifications
The Alocasia 'Venom' has a compact growth habit and thick, deeply textured leaves in glossy dark green, reminiscent of dragon scales. It grows steadily during the warm season, while in winter it may enter a natural dormant period and slow its growth. The corm remains alive even if a leaf drops.
It needs a warm environment, high humidity, and a very airy aroid mix with pine bark, perlite, coco fibers, and charcoal. Water when the surface of the potting mix dries out, keeping the mix slightly moist but never waterlogged. It can be propagated by separating the offshoots that form at the base.
