The carnivorous Nepenthes albomarginata forms pitchers with a white band that attracts termites and traps small insects. It grows slowly and steadily, while high humidity encourages the formation of larger pitchers.

Grow it in an open terrarium or near a humidifier, in an acidic, well-aerated substrate made of sphagnum moss and perlite, without potting soil or fertilizer. Keep the substrate moist and do not let it dry out completely. Use only rainwater, distilled water, or deionized water. Propagate it from stem cuttings in moist moss and high-humidity conditions.
