Description
Expansion tank of the company Comap, with a capacity of 50 liters. Every liquid, solid, or gas material expands (i.e., its volume increases) when heated and contracts when cooled. In heating installations, the circulating water is constantly heated and cooled, leading to continuous expansion and contraction. When the water expands, its quantity in liters increases automatically, and the additional liters, if not stored somewhere, will increase the pressure to high and dangerous levels. This is where the expansion tank comes in, which is responsible for storing the additional liters created after expansion.
It is installed vertically, which helps save space.
Finally, choosing the right size of the tank depends on multiple factors, such as the water capacity of the entire installation, the system pressure, the total height of the installation, etc. In any case, before making a purchase, you should consult a specialized engineer to recommend the best solution.
