The Fanar M10 spiral-point tap cuts metric threads in through and blind holes. It is made of HSSE-PM and has a TiN coating, which increases surface hardness to approximately 2300 HV.
PM technology provides increased resistance to high temperatures and friction. The tap is suitable for ductile materials with an elongation of A5λ10%, magnetic, structural and austenitic stainless steels, as well as aluminium alloys.
