The Mammut Classic HMS Screwgate Carabiner is a versatile locking carabiner with a classic HMS shape, designed for climbing and mountaineering. Its distinctive pear shape makes it ideal for building belay anchors and for belaying with an HMS knot (Munter hitch) or a belay device.

Its geometry is designed to allow the rope to run smoothly and help reduce wear. The Screwgate locking system is easy to operate, even in icy or dirty conditions.

The Keylock nose makes clipping and unclipping easy, without snagging on the rope or other equipment. The distinctive orange indicator remains visible when the carabiner is not fully screwed shut, providing an additional visual check.
