    I bought it for my MacBook. Initially, I had purchased the Satechi USB-C Docking Station with HDMI 4K PD Ethernet, which indeed has 3 USB ports along with Ethernet and HDMI, however, it heated up unbearably to the point where I was afraid of it and at the same time it drained the battery very quickly. The Apple adapter does not heat up at all and I leave it permanently connected to the laptop. Finally, due to the fact that it does not raise the temperature, it does not decrease the data transfer speed of the USB sticks.
