This edition presents Articles 941–1054 of the Code of Civil Procedure systematically, taking into account that many of the amendments introduced by Law 5221/2025 are substantial and targeted. In addition, a significant number of changes arose from the need to align the law on compulsory enforcement with the reforms undertaken in other chapters of the Code of Civil Procedure.
The first applications of Law 5221/2025 in case law also highlighted the need for legislative clarifications or corrections, as did the differing interpretative views expressed in legal scholarship. This led the legislature to enact two recent laws, Laws 5264/2025 and 5282/2026, which are generally clarificatory or corrective, while also introducing certain significant new changes that are examined in detail in this edition.
The aim of this work is to present the new law as it has taken shape following successive legislative amendments. In doing so, it also seeks to highlight those often subtle interpretative influences that the overall system of compulsory enforcement law receives from the broader new structure of civil proceedings. At the same time, it draws on the valuable body of case law and the significant contributions of legal scholarship over recent years, since 2018, when the third edition of this work was published.
