I am very satisfied.

I operate the device in a 40sqm living room that connects to the kitchen. The main purpose of the purchase is for cooking smells and general cleaning from dust and air pollution in the winter. It performs excellently in both aspects. Also, there have been times when there was smoke from cigars, and it quickly cleared the atmosphere. If I had to say something negative, it would be that it doesn't have a timer, but in my case, it is not necessary. I have it permanently set on Auto, and it automatically increases the strength when it detects odors. Also, sometimes the remote control doesn't work directly, but it is not something that concerns me greatly. When we cook and there is a strong smell in the house, you need to set it to a high speed (position 3 or 4) otherwise it doesn't clean satisfactorily (at least in my space). The noise level is very satisfactory. In position 1, you can't hear anything, and in position 2, it is also almost silent. The sensor it has for air quality is also very good - it responds immediately to odors.

The machine was purchased due to smoking and allergies.

As a cigarette odor cleaner, it works perfectly. It effectively removes cigarette smoke even from 5 smokers in a 25-30 square meter space.

The quality sensor - I believe - is quite sensitive and gradually increases the fan speed. The only negative is the combination of the air quality sensor with the light sensor. If there is not enough light in the room and it is in auto mode, the machine switches to low speed mode and takes a while to respond, if it responds at all. This is a downside.

Another lost point is that it is not completely silent even in quiet or night mode.

The panel is quite distinguishable with only the necessary indicators. The positive aspect is that the indicators are illuminated. The negative aspect is that they are not easily distinguishable from a distance and even in night mode, the brightness decreases but still remains at levels that can be slightly bothersome.

Another point is lost due to the lack of an on/off timer and the fact that if it is disconnected from power and reconnected, it does not return to the previous mode (it remains off), so it is not possible to use a separate timer on the socket.

The reason for choosing it was the non-production of ozone, as it is a passive device, as well as the proven improvement in air quality due to the filter (known as CADR - clean air delivery rate), which is higher than devices of the same volume and capacity.

The price as a machine itself is increased but justified due to the certifications and performance of the filter, as well as their worldwide availability, as Winix has many years of experience in the field.

I bought it to cover a space of 35 sq.m. of a unified kitchen and living room. I preferred the U series instead of the P series because of the external filter, as there is also a dog in the house. After 10 days of use, what I can observe is that it is a very high-quality construction, particularly effective and above all, quiet. Truly, on the quiet scale, you can't tell if the device is working or not. The reason I bought the device was because of the excessive dust and dog hair, but it turned out to do much more than I initially thought. Indeed, it not only significantly reduced the dust and hair, but also improved the air quality. Since our kitchen is connected to the living room, the cleaner, working in conjunction with the hood, eliminated any cooking odors. I imagine it would have equally good results with smoke, but fortunately, we don't smoke in the house, so I can't say much about that (unfortunately for the review). The device is unfortunately a bit bulky, but it is so effective and has such a high air suction capacity in turbo mode that it is inconceivable to me if a smaller device could perform equally well. Personally, I have the device on Auto mode and manually set it to a higher speed for a few minutes one or two times a day. The sensor it has is extremely accurate, but almost always the manual speed setting in turbo or high mode, and therefore the higher air suction, always detects polluted air, which it cleans very quickly. I consider the price a bit steep, as well as the price of the filter, which the manufacturer recommends changing every one and a half years (a relevant indicator lights up whenever necessary). However, overall, I am satisfied and highly recommend it.
