As the owner of the Tundra for a month now, I will mention the impeccable treatment of the inventor (representing this specific model). When I received the air conditioner a month ago, the external unit made a muffled noise that only occurred at startup or when it reached the desired temperature, the compressor would stop and then start again. This lasted for a few minutes. The noise was so penetrating/annoying that it could be heard from the other side of the house. It was practically impossible to sleep with this noise.
Here come the difficulties (since I live in a province). The initial installation of the air conditioner (typical installation with a vacuum pump, unified copper pipe, etc.) was a bit lacking, so the installer considered the noise at startup to be normal. The responsibility for this refrigeration was taken by the refrigeration technician from the store where the Haier was purchased, and he had to certify to the representative (inventor) that there was an issue. Although he had never heard such noise before, he found it difficult to confidently say that the air conditioner had a problem. So, Inventor relied on my words and sent a new external unit for replacement.
The new unit works perfectly. The difference was night and day compared to the previous problematic one (this time the refrigeration technician admitted that there was a problem with the previous unit).
And now, let's move on to the evaluation of the Haier Tundra. It is the only air conditioner at such a price that has such a good SCOP/SEER, and the noise level of the internal unit drops to 20dB, which is significant if it is intended for a bedroom. The internal unit is compact and aesthetically pleasing. Indeed, it is quite silent, making it perfect for a bedroom. It doesn't seem to have any issues when operating below 35°C.
Don't expect numerous automations for €369. For its price, considering that Haier is one of the top 3 HVAC companies in China, the compressor is Hitachi, and the air conditioner is value for money. And of course, along with the air conditioner, you have the exemplary after-sales service of Inventor. I am already considering purchasing a second unit after a few months of operation. Despite the inconvenience and annoyance that arose from the unprofessionalism of some refrigeration technicians in the province.
Update 22/1/17: The air conditioner has now been tested for heating in conditions ranging from 7°C to -7°C. While it seemed to hold up well, especially at -7°C where it was impressive (even the defrosting it performed was within a normal time frame), the external unit started making a different intense noise this time, resembling the noise from poorly made air conditioners from the previous decade. It's a shame to ruin the overall image of an impeccable, silent, and without any flaws in the plastics, internal unit with the poor quality of the external unit. Given the new circumstances, I am forced to lower my rating to "average."
Update 24/2/17: Inventor, being a shining example to be imitated with exemplary after-sales support, contacted me on their own initiative, even though I had no intention of bothering them. They suggested replacing the external unit again. With the cold being milder now, the external unit had not made any of the intense noise it had in the past. However, it would be difficult for me to stick with the same unit for psychological reasons. I asked them if it was possible to replace the Haier with the Passion Pro, and the company agreed.
Even today, I consider that Haier is a good value for money, as long as you come across an outdoor unit that doesn't have any issues. For example, if there are some measures with copper pipes and the outdoor unit is far away from your bedroom, you probably won't have any problems. I would be curious to see more impressions from users on Scroutz because I still have doubts about whether I am unlucky (more likely) or if it is actually a bad air conditioner.
Ως κατοχος του tundra εδω και ενα μήνα θα αναφερθω στην αψογη αντιμετωπιση της inventor (αντιπροσωπευει το συγκεκριμενο μοντελο). Οταν παρελαβα το κλιματιστικο πριν ενα μηνα, η εξωτερικη μοναδα εκανε ενα υπόκωφο θορυβο που συνεβαινε μονο στην εκκίνηση ή πχ οταν επιανε επιθυμητη θερμοκρασια, σταματουσε ο συμπιεστης και έπρεπε να ξεκινησει. Αυτο διαρκουσε μερικα λεπτα. Ηταν τοσο διαπεραστικος/ενοχλητικος ο θορυβος που ακουγοταν μεχρι την αλλη ακρη του σπιτιου. Ηταν πρακτικο αδυνατο με το θορυβο αυτο να κοιμηθεις.
Εδω αρχιζουν τα δυσκολα (επαρχια γαρ). Ο αρχικος εγκαταστασης του κλιματιστικου (τυπικη εγκατασταση με αντλια κενου, ενιαιος χαλκοσωληνας, κτλ) ηταν λιγο στο κοσμο του οποτε θεωρησε πως ειναι φυσιολογικος ο θορυβος για εκκινηση. Τη σειρα αυτου του ψυκτικου πηρε ο ψυκτικος του καταστηματος απο το ποιο αγοραστηκε το haier και επρεπε να πιστοποιησει προς την αντιπροσωπεια (inventor) πως υπαρχει θεμα. Ναι μεν δεν ειχε ξανακουσει τετοιο θορυβο αλλα δυσκελευοταν να πει με σιγουρια πως το κλιματιστικο εχει προβλημα. Οποτε η inventor στηριχθηκε στα λεγομενα μου και εστειλε νεα εξωτερικη μοναδα για αντικατασταση.
Η νεα μοναδα δουλευει τελεια. Η διαφορα ηταν η μερα με τη νυχτα σε σχεση με τη προηγουμενη προβληματικη (αυτη τη φορα ο ψυκτικος παραδεχτηκε πως υπηρχε προβλημα με τη προηγουμενη μοναδα).
Και παμε στη καθε αυτου εξιολογηση του haier tundra. Προκειται για το μοναδικο κλιματιστικο με τετοια τιμη οπου εχει τοσο καλο scop/seer οπως επισης η σταθμη θορυβου της εσωτερικης μοναδας πεφτει στα 20db, σημαντικο εαν προοριζεται για υπνοδωματιο.
Η εσωτερικη μοναδα ειναι μαζεμενη και καλαισθητη. Οντως ειναι αρκετα αθορυβο καθιστώντας το αψογο για υπνοδωματιο. Σε λειτουργια υπο 35C δεν φαινεται να εχει το παραμικρο θεμα.
Μην περιμενετε απειρους αυτοματισμους στα 369 ευρω. Για τα λεφτα του, δεδομενου πως η haier αποτελει μια απο τις 3 κορυφαιες εταιριες hvac στη Κινα, ο συμπιεστης ειναι hitachi, το κλιματιστικο ειναι value for money. Και φυσικα μαζι με το κλιματιστικο εχεις και την υποδειγματικη after sales αντιμετωπιση της inventor. Ηδη σκεφτομαι, αφου περασουν καποιοι μηνες λειτουργιας, να προβω και σε αγορα 2ης μοναδας. Παρολη τη ταλαιπωρια και τον εκνευρισμο που προεκυψε απο την μη επαγγελματισμο καποιων ψυκτικων στην επαρχια.
update 22/1/17: το κλιματιστικο δοκιμαστηκε πλεον και σε θερμανση σε συνθηκες απο 7 εως -7C. Ενω φανηκε να μην λυγιζει καθολου, ειδικα στους -7C οπου ηταν εντυπωσιακο (ακομα και το defrost που πραγματοποιουσε ηταν ανα φυσιολογικο χρονο), η εξωτερικη μοναδα αρχισε ξανα να κανει αυτη τη φορα ενα διαφορετικο εντονο θορυβο σαν χαλασμενο τρακτερ θυμιζοντας θορυβο απο κατι ανωνυμα κλιματιστικα της κακιας ωρας κλιματιστικα προηγουμενης δεκαετιας. Ειναι κριμα να χαλαει η συνολικη εικονα μιας αψογης, αθορυβης, χωρις τριγμους στα πλαστικα, εσωτερικης μοναδας με τη κακη ποιοτητα της εξωτερικης. Δεδομενου των νεων περιστασεων αναγκάζομαι να χαμηλώσω τη κριτική μου σε "μετριο"
update 24/2/17: Η inventor, αποτελώντας λαμπρό παράδειγμα προς μίμηση με υποδειγματικο after sales support, ήρθε σε επικοινωνία μαζι μου απο μόνη της , ενω δεν ειχα καμια πρόθεση να τους ενοχλήσω. Μου προτειναν αντικατασταση εκ νεου της εξωτερικης μοναδας. Με το κρύο πλεον ηπιο, η εξωτερικη μοναδα δεν ειχε κανει ξανα καποιο απο τον εντονο θόρυβο που εκανε στο παρελθόν. Παρολαυτα θα ηταν δύσκολο να μεινω με την ιδια μοναδα, για ψυχολογικους λογους. Τους ρωτησα εφοσον ειναι εφικτό να αλλαχθει το haier με το passion pro και η εταιρια δεχτηκε.
Ακομα και σημερα θεωρω πως το haier ειναι καλο value for money αρκει να πέσετε σε εξωτερικη μοναδα που να μην εχει προβλημα. Αν πχ μεσολαβουν καποια μετρα χαλκοσωληνα και η εξωτερικη μοναδα βρίσκεται μακρια απο το πχ υπνοδωματιο σας, δεν θα εχετε πιθανοτατα προβλημα. Θα ημουν περιεργος να δω περισσοτερες εντυπωσεις απο χρηστες στο σκρουτζ γιατι ακομα εχω αμφιβολιες για το εαν ειμαι καντεμης (πιο πιθανο) η οντως προκειται για κακο κλιματιστικο.
