It is a fragrance from the old times but with timeless value, truly wonderful .............. besides, it is the only one that an unknown person asked me when I was looking at a shop window "what fragrance are you wearing?" ......... well, that is not easily forgotten!!!

No relation to the Drakkar of 2000....by the time I get down from the second floor to the car, it has disappeared...whoever has it understands what I'm saying...it only smells for a very short time when you put it on...thank you for the effort...

Excellent if you consider that it is a perfume about 50 years old... very good quality, it is a fougère, it is relatively light, from what they say with the reformulation it hasn't changed so much in terms of quality as it has in terms of strength-projection. I don't think it will ever get old. On one hand, it is obvious that it is old, on the other hand, its lavender is timeless and fresh, even though it has a dark character, hence the Noir. The Drakkar, which was the legendary ship of the Normans (Vikings), shows the 'aggressiveness' of the perfume. Now, whether it is aggressive I don't know. Once, with the projection I imagine it had, it would DEFINITELY give off a very strong hustling. I think it can be worn in all seasons, anyway. Perfumery has advanced so much that, leniently and because of its good price, I give it a 3.5-4/5. Now, an older man, who is a professional or demanding of himself, can easily support it as a 5/5. For younger people, I think it is a very fair 3-3.5/5

Contrary to what most reviews say, I find the longevity satisfactory. As for the style of the fragrance, what most people write is true (heavy, 'old', etc). However, it's not what I remember—and it used to be my favorite in the 90s. I looked into it and it's confirmed, the fragrance has undergone three major changes. It has very little to do with what it used to be. If I could have tried it, I wouldn't have bought it.

An old time classic cologne. It is strong at the opening but in the dry down it becomes softer. Its feeling reminds you as if you are in a 90s barbershop. It requires a very specific taste to be worn. Its price allows for overspraying and since it is an eau de toilette I can say it requires 10-12 sprays. Longevity is about 3-4 hours. It is an easy-to-wear fragrance. Is it worth a blind buy? Not if you don't know its scent. But for a collection in general, since it is one of the most well-known fragrances for so many years, it is absolutely worth it.

Rascals! It is worn with a cut short sleeve and riding an XT parrot. Seriously now, a timeless and wonderful fragrance. Unfortunately, the longevity has dropped significantly (somewhat explains the very low price), I have types from fragrance shops that last longer. Now for those who find it a teenager fragrance or room fragrance... Get a grip! The risk is being labeled a boomer, the fragrance has been around since the era of the video cassette, teenagers now wear sweet scents like they're slathering themselves with cake. As much as room fragrances sometimes copy notes from well-known perfumes, there's no comparison to a room fragrance unless the space is a barber shop. 4 stars only because its longevity has decreased excessively.

Classic woody fragrance that brings back memories from when I was a child and before puberty, when I used to smell it on my uncles. Old and timeless since 1982. It is a Fougère fragrance. Some of its many notes according to Fragrantica are: at the top, it has lavender, lemon, bergamot, rosemary, mint, verbena, basil, and artemisia. In the middle notes: juniper, clove, cinnamon, coriander, wormwood, angelica, jasmine, and in the base notes there are oakmoss, pine needles, fir, leather, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, cedar, amber, and resins.

It was the cologne of my youth and I found it again... the cologne and at the same time a sense of youth :-) Although some mention the short duration of the fragrance, for me it is satisfactory.

2 stars from me because after a few hours (at most three) the scent disappears from you, of course if you spray it on your clothes it lasts a little longer but still NOT! Only the name remains unfortunately..... Not recommended!

I think it no longer has that characteristic strong "in your face" smell that captivated you, and I remember as a kid from older men who wore it in the 80s... It is clearly lighter and has a stronger intensity of lemon scent... especially at the opening.... The worst part is that for me at least, after 2 hours if I smell my wrist, I can barely detect it, so it's impossible for those next to me to smell it.... I can't understand why they "tamper" with such iconic fragrances... Nevertheless, I give it 3 stars because its base is unique and it is a fragrance that marked a decade....

For us teenagers of the 80s, it is a landmark fragrance. It awakens images and sounds of another era.
Its duration is shorter than 24 hours since it is an Eau de Toilette.
For longer lasting, prefer Eau de Cologne

I have been working for a company that sells it for 38 years, there is no difference. I had the advantage of buying the original and the tester has no difference, just your nose is used to it (where others write that it doesn't last) it's fine, I haven't changed it in 40 years. Of course, I have no relationship with the company that sells it

An excellent spicy scent that fades quickly. However, if you have a strong sense of smell, or spray a couple of spoons, then you will enjoy it until the evening, you and those around you. Anyway, I will buy it again, because of the price!!!

I like the fragrance. It has a "woody" and "deeper," "warm" feel. It can be worn in winter as well. I remove a star because it is completely a different scent from the "iconic" Noir and not a "longer-lasting," stronger version of it. For its price, it's just fine.

Unfortunately, after a few hours, as others have mentioned, the product does not smell at all. I wonder if it would smell at all if it wasn't Eau de toilette. Only if you spray it on clothes it remains.
Unfortunately, the same thing happens with other perfumes I have bought online, whether they are for women or men.
    If someone could explain it.
With reservation, I believe they sell perfume imitations.

Fougere fragrance from other decades! It seems like it was trapped in a bottle for a long time! The scent is soapy and fresh! I would easily wear it every day, but I love other scents a little more than this one! You definitely won't go unnoticed, but don't expect the comments to be positive! As mentioned before, it's a fragrance from another era! Barbershop-like, but not as lemony as many others! If you lack self-confidence, stay away from such bottles! If you want compliments, go for a vanilla fragrance! If you don't care about others' opinions, welcome to the club!

Because many confuse it with the 1972 Drakkar, I must say that it was first released in 1982, awarded in 1985 and 2010, while in 1991 it was the most popular-commercial men's cologne. It is one of the most 'masculine' colognes so far with intense woody base notes, where sandalwood prevails triumphantly. Personally, it lasts throughout the day for me, but I will agree with many that its intensity and duration are now 'diminished', which may also explain its economical price today. Along with Fahrenheit and Cool Water, they are the 3 men's colognes that stand out among a multitude of scented people - of course, the longevity formula of Fahrenheit far exceeds.

The "Dior Sauvage" of the 80s. Classic masculine fougere barbershop scent. I bought it because it was my father's favorite when he was my age for a night out at the disco. Unfortunately, it doesn't perform well and its longevity is less than two hours. I only recommend it if you plan on reapplying every two hours or simply for your own entertainment/nostalgic use.

Pine needles burned by the sun, intoxicating green herbs, dynamic lavender, sweet and airy lemon, very green soap.
It is good to support the company that still sells it, but the truth is that the product currently available is nothing more than a shadow of the old Drakkar Noir. Fortunately, there are also imitations. In any case, it should be on the shelf of every man, young or old.

It is not a fragrance for a night out, it is not heavy or intoxicating, it does not have much depth and not a long-lasting scent.
It is a spring-summer fragrance, for a walk or visit, it is not intense to bother others, it simply emphasizes its presence.
Those who prefer heavy and long-lasting fragrances will not like it very much, but those who do not want to hear complaints from their spouse and want a nice, slightly intense scent that "gets the job done" will like it a lot.
As a provincial child, what stayed with me the most is the "pine-resin" it has, I will keep it like that, for example, for a visit to the café.

Unfortunately, disappointing, don't get me wrong, I love DRAKKAR but it's not the same as before. The scent is there but you feel like it's watered down and doesn't last. You don't get that "wow" feeling... Stamatios Gardelis, LONG LIVE the CHAIR. (The old ones know what I'm talking about). It still remains a very nice men's winter cologne.

The classic Drakkar was released in '72 in a transparent bottle. You can only find it in special stores abroad at golden prices. I was a soldier in Volos when I first wore it, no comparison to Drakkar Noir. Even after about 47 years, I still remember its scent. I consider it the top cologne out of all that have been released, followed by Gray Flannel, the old one and not the one currently on the market.

Very good fragrance. Classic with a nice strong scent that is not bothersome. It easily lasts for 6 hours and if you spray it on clothes, it lasts for over 16 hours on the garment.

  • Excellent if you consider that it is a perfume about 50 years old... very good quality, it is a fougère, it is relatively light, from what they say with the reformulation it hasn't changed so much in terms of quality as it has in terms of strength-projection.

  • Contrary to what most reviews say, I find the longevity satisfactory.

    Translated from Greek ·

  • An old time classic cologne.
