However, this button is essentially floating and you have to manually lift it up high (with a spoon, for example, to avoid burning yourself) to let the steam out. So, to the point: It is a very sturdy construction that is even easier to close than the aforementioned pressure cooker. Also, the cooking times are incredible: I turn it off as soon as it whistles in most dishes because otherwise they will melt.
