This review is about the 4TB version. I have had it for 1.5 years. I write about 100-150 GB on it each month and it is always 70-85% full. It connects to many devices (two TVs - the third one doesn't recognize it - two Android boxes, etc.). The older TVs (2012) do not always recognize it, while the Android boxes have no issues (from 2015 and 2018). Overall, it works satisfactorily. I have extensively used it on 2 laptops and 2 desktops. On USB 2.0, it records at a speed of 30 MB/s and on USB 3.0 from 100 to 125 MB/s for movies (depending on the hardware). It connects to Android boxes, but after each connection, Windows requests a scan and repair. Once it needed a fixdisk, but then it worked normally again. In reading, I have seen speeds of up to 180 MB/s on some files (only on the new PC). On the old laptop (2011), after driver updates, it increased from 70-80 to 110 MB/s. However, on an old desktop (2009), for some unknown reason, it writes some videos at 50, 70, or even 100 MB/s. There, I have USB 3.0 with a PCI card. On the new one (2018), the speeds are always high. There is a low noise from the spinning of the disk during reading, which will only be noticeable late at night if you are watching TV with the volume very low. I should mention that due to work, I have handled about fifty hard drives in the last 10 years. Of these, 4 crashed permanently after considerable use. So far, out of the 11 SSDs I have in various computers over the last 5-6 years, none have crashed, although two have become slower (both KINGSTON SV300). I should add that it has never had any issues playing 720p, 1080p, or 2160p content, whether the movie was 4, 14, or 84 GB.
UPDATE 17-10-2021: With somewhat reduced usage over the last year (50 GB/month delete-write) and being 70-80% full (never more), it has lasted 4 years without a problem. Almost always when I switch platforms between ANDROID and WINDOWS, a check and repair occurs (although it never actually needs repair). The car Android I bought does not recognize it (it recognizes up to 500 GB). The cable from all the plugging and unplugging has slightly damaged the port, but it's OK. The LG from 2019 sometimes does not read it and requires turning off and on. For some reason, this only happens at the beginning with 4K movies, but it does not happen with the 128GB flash drive. The speeds on a new computer are 105-130 depending on the video file (reading and writing). For other files, it’s lower.
UPDATE 19-9-2024: With minimal use over the last two years, occasionally watching a movie from the stored files, and primarily using it for backing up some files in movies and music of about 2 TB, it suddenly stopped working. Half of the files were completely lost. It lasted seven years. I think out of the HDDs I had in many computers (about 40) over the last fifteen years, one in five failed or had serious issues (about 8-9 in total). None of the SSDs have crashed so far, although several become slower as they fill up and age (out of the 20 I have used). Maybe the next one should be an SSD?

Τον έχω 1,5 χρόνο. Γράφω πάνω του 100-150 gb το μήνα και είναι 70-85% γεμάτος πάντα. Μπαίνει σε πολλά μηχανήματα (δύο τηλεοράσεις - η τρίτη δεν τον βλέπει- δύο android box κλπ). Οι παλαιότερες τηλεοράσεις (2012) δεν τον βλέπουν πάντα, ενώ τα android box απροβλημάτιστα (του 2015 και του 2018). Γενικά δουλεύει ικανοποιητικά. Τον έχω χρησιμοποιήσει σε 2 laptop και σε δύο desktop εκτενώς. Σε usb 2.0 εγγραφή 30 mb/s ταχύτητα και σε usb 3.0 από 100 έως 125 mb/s σε ταινίες (αναλόγως το hardware). Συνδέεται και σε android box αλλά μετά από κάθε σύνδεση τα windows ζητάνε σάρωση και επιδιόρθωση. Μία φορά χρειάστηκε fixdisk αλλά μετά ξαναδούλεψε κανονικά. Σε ανάγνωση έχω δει σε κάποια αρχεία και 180 mb/s (μόνο στο καινούριο pc). Στο παλιό laptop (2011) μετά από ενημερώσεις drivers κλπ ανέβηκε από 70-80 στα 110 mb/s. Σε ένα παλιό desktop (2009) όμως για άγνωστο λόγο κάποια video τα γράφει στα 50 στα 70 ή και στα 100 mb/s. Εκεί όμως έχω usb 3.0 με κάρτα pci. Στο καινούριο (2018) οι ταχύτητες είναι πάντα ψηλές. Υπάρχει ένας χαμηλός θόρυβος από την περιστροφή του δίσκου κατά την ανάγνωση ο οποίος θα γίνει αντιληπτός μόνο αργά το βράδυ αν βλέπετε τηλεόραση με πολύ χαμηλά την ένταση του ήχου.
Να πω ότι λόγω εργασίας έχουν περάσει από τα χέρια μου τα τελευταία 10 χρόνια περίπου πενήντα σκληροί. Από αυτούς 4 κράσαραν οριστικά μετά από αρκετή χρήση. Μέχρι στιγμής από τους 11 ssd που έχω σε διάφορους υπολογιστές τα τελευταία 5-6 χρόνια κανείς δεν έχει κρασάρει αν και δύο έχουν γίνει πιο βραδείς (KINGSTON SV300 και οι δύο).
Να συμπληρώσω ότι ουδέποτε είχε οποιοδήποτε πρόβλημα με αναπαραγωγή 720p, 1080p ή 2160p περιεχομένου είτε η ταινία ήταν 4, ή 14 ή 84 GB.
ΕΝΗΜΕΡΩΣΗ 17-10-2021: Με κάπως μειωμένη χρήση τον τελευταίο χρόνο (50 gb/μήνα σβήσε γράψε) και όντας γεμάτος 70-80% (ποτέ παραπάνω) έχει κλείσει 4 χρόνια χωρίς πρόβλημα. Σχεδόν πάντα όταν αλλάζω πλατφόρμα μεταξύ ANDROID και WINDOWS γίνεται έλεγχος και επιδιόρθωση (αν και ποτέ δεν χρειάζεται επιδιόρθωση). Δεν τον βλέπει το car android που αγόρασα (βλέπει μέχρι 500 gb). To καλώδιο του από τα πολλά βάλε-βγάλε σαραβάλιασε λίγο την υποδοχή αλλά ΟΚ. Η LG του 2019 καμιά φορά δεν τον διαβάζει και θέλει κλείσιμο και άνοιγμα. Για κάποιο λόγο αυτό συμβαίνει μόνο στην αρχή στις 4κ ταινίες αλλά δεν συμβαίνει στο 128GB φλασάκι. Οι ταχύτητες σε καινούριο υπολογιστή είναι 105-130 αναλόγως το αρχείο βίντεο (ανάγνωση και εγγραφή). Σε άλλα αρχεία πιο κάτω.
ΕΝΗΜΕΡΩΣΗ 19-9-2024: Με ελάχιστη χρήση τα δύο τελευταία χρόνια, που και που καμιά ταινία από τις αποθηκευμένες, και με κύρια χρήση το backup κάποιων αρχείων σε ταινίες και μουσική περίπου 2 tb, ξαφνικά σταμάτησε να λειτουργεί. Τα μισά αρχεία χαθήκαν εντελώς. Άντεξε επτά χρόνια. Νομίζω από τους hdd που είχα σε πάρα πολλούς υπολογιστές ( περίπου 40) της τελευταίας δεκαπενταετίας ο ένας στους πέντε χάλασε ή έβγαλε σοβαρό πρόβλημα (περίπου 8-9 συνολικά). Από τους ssd κανείς δεν έχει κρασάρει μέχρι στιγμής αν και αρκετοί όταν γεμίζουν και γερνάνε γίνονται πιο αργοί (από τους 20 που έχω χρησιμοποιήσει). Μήπως ο επόμενος να είναι ssd;
