I placed the machine in the exact same spot where I had the previous model, which worked continuously for 12 years. Because it had a motor malfunction in the external fan, I decided to replace it instead of repairing it because it had already accumulated many operating hours.
While I had it, I was very satisfied, the only negative aspect was that it yellowed over the years, but since my walls are painted cream, it didn't look bad, it actually matched better.

The new one has a smaller external unit (with the same technical performance characteristics) but a larger internal unit. This is its only drawback, I would say, because it is a bit bulky internally.
However, in terms of performance, it is guaranteed, it has very good performance, but most importantly, it creates a comfortable climate, evenly heating the space without you even noticing it's there.
What I do is set it to 19-20 degrees and leave it on permanently, essentially compensating for heat loss and keeping the entire living room-kitchen area (40 sqm) uniformly warm. The cost for this is around 100€ per month on average, which cannot be achieved with any other heating method.
It also has a 3D auto function on its fan, which directs the air in such a way as to achieve even heating. At first, I thought it was just marketing, but after trying it, I realized it actually works.
Additionally, like the previous model, it has a self-cleaning function for the summer, which dries the internal components when you close it, preventing the formation of bacteria, so you don't have any issues with odors.
In summary, the machine guarantees performance and comfort, it is reliable and reasonably priced. For me, it is worth it without a doubt.

I have installed 2 of these air conditioners, one in a ground floor apartment of 50 square meters and the other in a living room/kitchen of 45 square meters on the first floor of the same detached house on an island in the Sporades.

    UPDATE 28/07/2020
The machines have been working for over 1.5 years, mainly for heating (all winter) and less in the summer.
They are powerful and quiet on the low setting, very powerful on the high setting. I usually use them on auto and they bring the room temperature to where I want it in just a few minutes.
They have some slight vibrations from the plastic parts only during the first 2-3 minutes of operation, but they are not bothersome.
One very positive aspect is that they maintain a stable room temperature where you set them, unlike the Chinese ones that go from cold to hot.
They have many useful functions. In addition to weekly timers and the usual features, they have the ability to adjust the initial settings according to the placement in the room and automatically direct the louvers for optimal air distribution and diffusion.
They are high-quality machines, made in Thailand. I am generally very satisfied with this purchase.

I want to clarify that the unit is not a 24,000 BTU/hr (as someone mentioned above) but a 21,500 BTU/hr (6.3KW), so it is recommended for spaces up to 50 square meters with satisfactory insulation. The 24,000 BTU/hr air conditioners are 7KW.
However, this particular air conditioner is so powerful that it easily surpasses many so-called 24,000 BTU/hr units on the market.

Although I live in a problematic area with unstable voltage and power outages (especially in winter), fortunately I have not encountered any issues with the circuit boards of either of the two units. However, when there is a thunderstorm, I shut off their power supply from the panel to protect them.
Because they are expensive air conditioners, like other electronic devices I own, I plan to install a voltage monitor and surge protector in the electrical panel, as the risk of damage in this particular area every winter is very high.

I bought it mainly for heating, I used it constantly for 4 months, about 12 hours a day, waiting for the next power outage. With a thermal efficiency greater than any 24-hour device, in a single space of 60 sq.m. with an attic, it reached 20C in 1 hour max after opening the windows at maximum speed. Of course, the house is in Attica. Consumption is 1/3 of any other power device I had before, or about 1 euro per day. Finally, it has many options for a 24-hour or weekly timer. 5 stars without hesitation for its heating!

I installed it this summer in an old house, but with insulation (thermal facade and roof insulation, energy-efficient frames after renovation). It immediately cools down the space. I don't have an opinion on consumption and reliability yet. The price is high for the quality of construction. I want to see it in winter for heating. I will come back...

29/12/2018: Tested for a whole winter and having it for 2 years, absolutely no problems. It quickly heats up the space. Set at 23 degrees, it consistently maintains the temperature at 21 in the room (the house has high ceilings, so there is a difference between the setting and the actual temperature). It makes some noise at the beginning when you turn it on, but once it reaches the temperature, it is not heard at all.
On average, we use it for 8 hours a day and our electricity bill is €100 higher for the whole winter. It performs well even in external temperatures of 1 degree without any difficulty. All this with the doors open in the rooms so that they also get heated (Total area 80 sq.m.).
    Very satisfied with this purchase.

The worst air conditioner I have ever had. On the second day, it randomly burned the circuit board. Let's not even comment on the build quality. Also, many times while draining the water outside, it leaks water inside the living room.

I have it for three days now and I can't say that it heats up the space well and quickly, living room-kitchen 50 sqm. Detached house. It needs to work continuously for 24 hours to reach a temperature of 20 degrees with 5 degrees outside. The indoor unit is relatively quiet at full power, but not the outdoor unit. And another downside. Its air is not very warm or very strong. I haven't tried it for cooling yet. I don't think it is value for money.

I bought it the day before yesterday in Perea, Thessaloniki.
First of all, I give it 3 stars because it hasn't been tested under extreme conditions. The only thing I did was to let it work continuously for 35 hours at a temperature of 28°C with all the doors open in a 110 sqm house. The main area, which is 60 sqm, the living room and kitchen, had a constant temperature of 22.5°C, while the bedrooms and bathrooms had a constant temperature of 17.5°C. Most of the time, it was working on the second air level.
    For now, it's acceptable.
I will come back with a new evaluation in the future.
On 25/10/2017, it burned the circuit board. I have the impression that it is too sensitive. The store where I bought it told me that it is still under warranty and they will notify a Mitsubishi technician to come and see it, and they will replace it on the spot if they have it with them...
    Let's see.
On 2/11/2017, the Mitsubishi technician finally came after many pleas and an unprecedented miscommunication. All's well that ends well.
Conclusion: Mitsubishi is aware that voltage fluctuations in Greece are more intense compared to the rest of Europe, so they reinforce the circuit board to withstand the higher voltage of the power restoration. In this specific series, the "problem" was solved afterwards, but since many units had already been installed in houses, they proceed with this repair knowingly.
In other words, it is something that they expect to happen sooner or later, but no one will tell you in advance because they simply want to keep selling them.
Other than that, the machine is PERFECT... so far. It will be a year in January.
We'll see and I will report back as long as the warranty lasts...
UPDATE 12/01/18: Today it happened again. The Mitsubishi technicians (Thessaloniki) had said that there would be no similar issue again... well, here we go again, another weekend without air conditioning... blah blah blah...
MY OPINION ---->> STAY AWAY FROM THIS MITSUBISHI MODEL because, believe me, it is very frustrating when your family needs to be warm and you have invested a lot of money.
I don't know what else to say or to whom, we consumers are all unprotected in this country :-(

  • I placed the machine in the exact same spot where I had the previous model, which worked continuously for 12 years.

  • I have installed 2 of these air conditioners, one in a ground floor apartment of 50 square meters and the other in a living room/kitchen of 45 square meters on the first floor of the same detached house on an island in the Sporades.

  • I bought it mainly for heating, I used it constantly for 4 months, about 12 hours a day, waiting for the next power outage.

  • I installed it this summer in an old house, but with insulation (thermal facade and roof insulation, energy-efficient frames after renovation).

  • The worst air conditioner I have ever had. On the second day, it randomly burned the circuit board. Let's not even comment on the build quality. Also, many times while draining the water outside, it leaks water inside the living room.
