Maria Prodromou

Maria Prodromou was born in Larnaca in November 1980, but her roots trace back to Agios Sergios and Arnadi, occupied villages in the Famagusta district. Her deep love for children led her to study teaching at the University of Cyprus. Through the eyes of children and her daily interactions with them, she sees their world, which serves as a source of inspiration for her stories. Her first attempt at writing was prompted by her close friend Andri, who encouraged her to transform her thoughts into words and put them on paper. She is a member of the Cyprus Association of Children's and Young Adult Books. Maria is married to Christos Naziris and has two children, George and Nicholas.
