Giorgos T. Rousis

Giorgos Roussis was born in Corfu in 1948. He is a professor of political theory in the General Department of Law at Panteion University. Known as a committed leftist thinker and activist, he joined the ranks of the Lambrakides at a young age and later became a member of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) until 1989, when he disagreed with its rightward shift. Subsequently, he joined the New Left Current (NAR) for two years and has since been active as an independent leftist. His research and writing, approached from a Marxist perspective, primarily focus on issues related to the state and social emancipation. He has published numerous articles and books.
