Sia Anagnostopoulou

Sia Anagnostopoulou was born in Patras in 1959. She holds a degree from the Faculty of Philosophy of Athens and a degree from the Department of Turkish Studies at the National Institute of Oriental Languages of France (INALCO). Her postgraduate studies in France were completed with a master's degree in History (DEA from Sorbonne Paris I) and a Ph.D. in History from the EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales). She taught for nine years in the Department of Turkish Studies at the University of Cyprus and since 2004 has been teaching at Panteion University as a professor in the Department of Political Science and History. She was elected as a Member of Parliament for Achaia with SYRIZA in January and September 2015. She served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Minister of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs.
