Elena-Olga Christidi is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and researcher. She studied psychology at Panteion University and completed her postgraduate studies in International Medicine and Crisis Management in Health at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is the scientific director of Orlando LGBT+ Mental Health Without Stigma. She teaches the course "Identity and Gender" (Department of Psychology, Panteion University) and the course "Gender Identities and Sexual Orientation" (Department of Social Work, University of West Attica). Since 2012, she has been coordinating the Youth Empowerment Groups on issues of sexual orientation and gender identity for "Colour Youth - LGBTQ+ Youth Community of Athens." She supervises mental health professionals at 11528-By Your Side, a psychological support line for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and educators, and trains individuals, groups, and organizations on issues of sexual orientation, gender identity, characteristics, and expression. She is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and holds the Advanced Accreditation for working with Gender, Sexuality & Relationship Diversities (AAGSRDT) from Pink Therapy.
