
Pantazis Kontomichis
Pantazis Kontomichis was born in Kavallo, Lefkada, in 1924. He completed his primary and secondary education in Lefkada. He enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University, graduating in 1950. In 1952, he was appointed as a teacher at the Gymnasium of Lefkada. Since then, he served in secondary education. In 1980, he became a General Inspector of Secondary Education, and in 1983, he was appointed as a School Counselor in his hometown. He retired in 1985 with the rank of General Inspector.
Throughout this period, alongside his educational duties, he engaged in archival research at the Historical Archive of Lefkada, where he gathered a wealth of material of historical and folkloric interest. He published numerous articles on literary, historical, and folkloric topics in magazines and newspapers and authored a multitude of books.
