CHristina P. Fili

Christina Fili was born in Athens in 1945 and studied mathematics at the University of Athens. As a French government scholar, she pursued postgraduate studies in the history of mathematics in Paris under Professor Rene Taton and received a state doctorate with distinction. She is an associate professor at the National Technical University of Athens. She has authored numerous articles and studies and has participated with her presentations in conferences in Greece and abroad. Additionally, she is one of the authors of five international book collections. In 1993, she was elected a corresponding member of the International Academy of the History of Science. In June 1994, the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge named her International Woman for the year 1993-94. In 2006, the French Government awarded her the title of Chevalier des Palmes Académiques. She has written many studies, including essays, book reviews, visual arts, and translations, which have been published in literary magazines such as "Tomés," "Diavazo," "Ihneftis," "Shedia," "Nea Estia," "Prisma," "Efthini," "Parodos," "Entefktirio," and "Epipedo."
