
Arthur Koestler
Arthur Koestler (1905-1983) was born in Budapest. He studied at the University of Vienna and later pursued a career in journalism. During the Spanish Civil War, while covering the events as a correspondent for the British newspaper "News Chronicle," he was captured by General Franco's fascists, imprisoned, and sentenced to death. He was eventually released and returned to England, where he lived until his suicide. Among his many works, the following stand out: "Crusade Without Cross," "The Commissar and the Yogi," "The Act of Creation," "The Ghost in the Machine," "The Lotus and the Robot."
