
Antoon Krings
Antoon Krings was born in 1962 in Fourmies, France, to a French mother and a Danish father. He studied graphic arts at the École Supérieure d'Arts Graphiques (ESAG) and initially worked as a textile designer for the fashion house of Emanuel Ungaro. In 1989, he decided to dedicate himself to writing and illustrating children's books. In 1994, he began designing for the children's series of the Gallimard publishing house. The following year, he created the series "Drôles de Petites Bêtes" (Greek translation: "Τα Ζουζουνάκια"), which became famous and includes more than 60 titles, also adapted into 3D animated films. In 2010, he was awarded the Best Illustrator award at the 22nd Solliès Comics Festival.
