Leyteris Drakopoulos

Lefteris Drakopoulos was born in Athens in 1965. He grew up in Chicago and studied History at Loyola University, a Jesuit institution. He earned his master's degree from the same institution, with a scholarship from the U.S. Federal Government, at the age of 22. His articles and studies have been published in international journals since 1987. The conclusions of Lefteris Drakopoulos's studies have been presented at scientific conferences of international organizations, and his contribution to the specialized literature on the impasses of the new post-Cold War reality is featured in the catalogs of distinguished research centers in the U.S. In Greece, in addition to his articles, his monographs have been published: "Energy Policy and Regional Security in the Caucasus and Central Asia" (Bank of Cyprus, 1998) and "Caucasus and Central Asia, Islamic Identity and Interstate Relations" (Papazisis - ELIAMEP, 1999). He teaches International Relations and International Economic Dependencies in postgraduate and university departments.
