
Athanasios D. THeodorakis
Athanasios D. Theodorakis was born in 1953 in Geraneia, Elassona. He is married and has two children. He studied Political Science at the Universities of Athens and Strasbourg. Since 1980, he has been involved in European affairs and Greece's participation in the EU. He actively participated in the Greek Presidencies of the EU, and during the 4th Greek Presidency, he served as the Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has served for several years in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, and Press and Media. He was the Deputy Director General of the European Commission in the field of international cooperation for development. For many years, he was the Chairman of the European Development Fund committee. He has published articles and studies on Greek politics, international development cooperation, and European issues. He was the founder of the "Parliamentary Review." Today, he serves as the Director General of YDAS at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
