Elaine Pagels

Elaine Pagels holds a doctorate from Harvard with a specialization in history and classical studies. She is the author of the books "Adam, Eve, and the Serpent," "The Origin of Satan," and "The Gnostic Gospels," for which she received the National Book Critics Circle Award and the National Book Award. She is a Professor of Religion at Princeton University and lives in New Jersey with her husband and children.
