Nikolaos K. Kasomoulis

Nikolaos Kasomoulis (1795-1872), the immortal hero of 1821, offers all Greeks an invaluable historical treasure with his "Memoirs," which will move and educate future generations. He was one of the main organizers of the Olympus revolution, and after its failure, he sought refuge in the Aspropotamos region, becoming the secretary of Captain Stornaris, whom he followed into all battles. He also provides a detailed account of the Kapodistrian period up to 1833. Kasomoulis's work also records the unknown history of Armatolism in the pre-revolutionary years, mainly in Northern Greece. Undoubtedly, as all historians agree, the "Memoirs" of N. Kasomoulis constitute an invaluable historical heirloom for Greeks everywhere.
