Antonios Antoniadis

Antonios Antoniadis was born in Athens. He spent his childhood and early teenage years in New York and Athens. In 1963, he was admitted to the Hellenic Naval Academy, from which he graduated as an Ensign in 1967. He also attended Naval Schools in the USA and Italy, earning a specialized degree. He rose through the ranks of the Hellenic Navy, achieving the rank of Admiral, and served as Fleet Commander (2001-2002) and Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff (2002-2005). From 1986 to 1990, he was part of the Greek Military Delegation to NATO. He retired in March 2005 and was awarded the title of Honorary Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.
