
Dimos A. CHloptsioudis
Dimos Chloptsioudis was born in Thessaloniki in 1973 and continues to reside there. He is a philologist, holds an MA in Creative Writing, and is a poet. He writes essays and poetry reviews, keeping a close eye on new trends in Art. His reviews are featured on online platforms such as culturebook.gr, tvxs.gr, tovivlio.net, and others. His studies and essays are published in magazines like Mandragoras, 'Eneken, Sisyphus, Diodos 66100, among others.
He has participated in numerous literary activities, and his poems have been published on websites and in literary magazines. For years, he has taught Creative Writing to both students and adults and was a key member of the "Come with a Poem" initiative for World Poetry Day celebrations in Western Thessaloniki. He is also the inspiration behind the "Poetic Lectern" activities, bringing together organizations and individuals around poetry in Evosmos and Western Thessaloniki. However, he prioritizes his teaching role (Creative Writing) at the Second Chance School of Diavata Prison above all other engagements.
Politically and socially active, he engages as an active citizen in the social movements of Western Thessaloniki. He has authored political essays such as "The Demagoguery of Democracy" (2009), "Local Government, Development Prospects of Local Communities" (2011), and "The Middle Class in the Noose of Crisis" (2014). Additionally, he has made available to the online public eight educational philological aids for high school (essay writing and literature).
