Christmas is a time of joy and togetherness for us and our family! We look forward to decorating our home, living room, and of course, our tree!

Start with the tree!

The first step on the list is choosing the ideal Christmas tree. The type of Christmas tree you choose depends on the available space in your home as well as the style you prefer. Find the Christmas tree that suits your style from a wide variety of classicsnow-covered and lit trees!

Step by Step: How to Decorate the Christmas Tree

Let's start with the basics. Have you found a tree? Do you have ornaments? Lights, skirt, nativity scene, star? In front of you is quite a long list of things you will need to acquire, just for the tree. The magic of Christmas requires a little personal effort, but the result will justify you. So let's see step by step what you will need and how we decorate the Christmas tree.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Christmas lights

The most beautiful thing about Christmas trees is their lighting, namely the lights. You will need quite a few lights to fill the whole tree and provide adequate lighting, so get extra if needed. Most Christmas trees on Skroutz state in the description how many lights are needed to fill them.

We start from the top and wrap all the way around the tree, making sure the lights catch every branch so the decorations are lit evenly. To keep them from showing, try to hide them inside the branches. If you want, you can also zig-zag them through the branches and give it a pattern. Another solution is to place them vertically from top to bottom in succession.

Extra tip: Before you start placing the lights, test them in a socket to see if they all turn on, so you don’t have to go through the extra effort of taking them down if some are burned out.

Christmas balls and decorations

Christmas ornaments

You can choose any color of Christmas balls and ornaments you like. You can combine 2 or even 3 colors together, or choose to have them all the same color. The designs can be anything you can imagine, from classic balls to figures, nutcrackers, birds, bells, or even wooden decorations. The sizes can be different, and you can place them mixed on the tree to give it more volume, or arrange them in order with the smaller ones at the top and the larger ones at the bottom.

If you want, you can fill it completely and cover as many gaps as you like with many balls on each branch, or make it more minimal and place one ball on each branch. Remember to leave a little space for the ribbon and bows if you plan to add them.

A, and don't forget the manger!

Stalls

Tree Top - Star

You have completed the whole process and it’s time to add the final touch to the decoration of the Christmas tree, namely a tree topper. The last ornament always goes on the top and can be a star, an angel, or anything else you want. Close your eyes, make a wish, and put it in place!
